Theme and Variation: Classical Recordings in the Dalcroze classroom

Theme and Variation - What stays constant?  What are the variables? How can we feel and express these changes? In her workshop, Cynthia will lead us through examples of classical Theme and Variations as we experience the music through movement. The workshop is designed both for our own exploration and for applications in our own music classrooms, where classical recordings can work as grand Dalcroze follows, basis for plastique animees, and inspiration for students’ own variations in music and movement.

All regular workshops are $15 for members of the DSA, $35 for non-members. Student rates (with valid student ID) are $5 for members of the DSA, $15 for non-members.
